Finding your way

Hi, my name is Ulla Andrews. If you live within the Greater London area and are in need of the services of an experienced and highly qualified counsellor or psychotherapist, then I can help you.

Experienced and Professional

BUPA, AXA, AVIVA and Cigna HealthCare Provider

My approach, as a counsellor, psychotherapist and supervisor, is integrative and transpersonal. I draw on many different modalities in my work and incorporate the use of symbolism, creativity and dream work. This may take the form of creative imagination, body psychotherapy, artwork or sandtray to name but a few. With 22 years of post-graduate experience, I am highly adept at providing therapy for individuals, couples, children, adolescents and parents. Sessions are held in person, on zoom or by telephone, whichever is more convenient for you.

I have been registered with the UKCP (United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy) since 2000. This is the umbrella organisation that holds the national register of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors, who have met the organisation's exacting standards and training requirements.

I have the following list of qualifications: Diploma in Counselling & Psychotherapy (2000), MA in Transpersonal Child, Adolescent and Family Therapy (2002), Post-Graduate Certificate in Spiritual Guidance through Transpersonal Dreamwork (2003), Post-Graduate Advanced Diploma in Psychotherapy (2005), Diploma in Supervision (2009) and Diploma in Couples Therapy (2010).

I am fully committed to my ongoing professional, personal and spiritual development and I have undertaken many more courses and workshops, both as a participant and as a trainer/facilitator.

About Counselling & Psychotherapy

I offer a confidential service working with people of all ages, in all stages of transition and at critical turning points in their lives. My practice is for individuals, couples, children, adolescents and/or parents. Counselling can help anyone facing a difficult decision, a crisis at home or work, a physical condition brought on by stress, low self-esteem or general feelings of anxiety or unhappiness. Psychotherapy is a longer-term commitment that engenders a deeper self-awareness, aiding lasting change and well-being. It provides a safe space in which clients can explore their inner world and gain greater insight into themselves without criticism in order to live healthier, happier and more fulfilling lives.

"When patterns are broken, new worlds emerge."

— Tuli Kupferberg

Clinical Supervision for Psychotherapists

Supervision is a professional requirement. It provides support, and encourages and facilitates the ongoing self-development and self-monitoring of the counsellor. It is difficult, if not sometimes impossible, to be objective about one's counselling; supervision provides the space to discuss and explore one's work in confidence. I am a CCPE Recognised Training Supervisor [RTS] so can work with students training to be psychotherapists as well as with seasoned professionals.

My approach is integrative and transpersonal and I supervise both trainee and experienced psychotherapists. In this picture, a graduate therapist explores her countertransference using sandplay.

Supervision can be in person, via zoom or by telephone.

Professional Courses and Workshops

I am a staff member of the Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy Education where I facilitate experiential weekends and group supervision to students on their postgraduate Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy.
